Full Stack Developer (12-month young professional program)

Role overview:

If you are located in Chile, Costa Rica, Taiwan or Spain, we are offering Full-Stack Developer positions. Certain conditions apply, but if you are interested and fit the following requirements, we would love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to have an international experience while still practicing your professional career abroad. You will not only get a chance to live in another country but to get valuable foreign work experience related to your field of expertise. This role is contingent on receiving a Young Professional Visa.

At Osedea we expect you to be disciplined when it comes to software development, and ready and eager to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammates to plan, develop, and deliver web and mobile applications for our clients. We expect you to take ownership of your tasks, excel at time management, and be a fast learner, while also focusing on ongoing personal improvement. The technologies listed below are mentioned to give you a reference point for our stack. Above all else, we look at personal ability and potential for growth when hiring for this position.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop software according to specifications (SRS, Interface Designs)
  • Uphold and reinforce software development guidelines
  • Acquire and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Research, test, and implement new techniques and technologies

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years experience as a software developer
  • A Bachelor’s degree, college degree, or certification in a software-related field
  • English or French at working-level proficiency (full bilingualism is a plus)

You should be comfortable with:

  • Web User Interface (React, Polymer, AngularJS, Vue.js, etc.)
  • At least one major modern programming language (NodeJS, Typescript, Java, Python, PHP, etc.)
  • Agile/Lean Development Methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
  • Application Testing (unit, functional, mocks, etc.)
  • Operating Systems (major Linux distributions, OSX)

It’s a plus if you have experience with:

  • Mobile application development (Native or Hybrid, such as React Native or Flutter)
  • Software Architectural and Design Patterns
  • Documentation best practices and standards (UML)
  • Application Testing (unit, functional, mocks, etc.)
  • Containerization (Docker)
  • Cloud-hosting platforms (at least one of AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Software Development Pipelines
  • Microservices
  • In-Memory object storage, caching and queue systems
  • Open-source contributions
