Our 2022 time capsule

2022 was another big year for us, with innovative projects, further team development, and opportunities to push new boundaries. As we prepare to close out another epic year, let’s look back on some highlights from the last 365 days.

Highlight # 1 - Our SOC 2 Type 2 certification

We've always valued security for all our stakeholders. This year we took our commitment one step further. Osedea is now SOC 2 Type 2 Certified. Thanks to this new accolade, we look forward to helping our clients feel even more at ease when they choose us to build their custom software or application knowing that we’ve done our due diligence and that we’re taking security practices seriously.

Highlight #2 in 2022 - The opening of the UK office

Early in the year, we launched our second international office, this time in the UK. What a ride it has been. To celebrate this great achievement, we're happy to share a recap of the latest event, Reviving London's Tech Scene.

Highlight #3 - The Win you internship competition

Another highlight was the competition to win a paid international internship abroad at the France and Montreal office. Thank you to all the candidates who applied, it was very difficult to make a choice. Stay tuned for the announcement of the winners.

Highlight #4 - Design sprint with Rubika students and QueerTech

Another highlight of the past year was our collaboration with Rubika Design School and QueerTech on a design sprint on inclusivity. For 1 week in the fall, the students were guided by our experts Louise Schaffner and Shereen Zangana through several immersive workshops to introduce the group to inclusive design and demonstrate the new perspectives it brings.

Highlight #5 - Osedea’s equitable and inclusive parental program

The last highlight of the year, and certainly not the least, is the creation of an equitable and inclusive program for parents who have a new baby. Basically, the program consists of offering 12 weeks of 100% paid leave (by the employer), covering 80% of the costs of fertility treatments (up to $20,000), covering 80% of the costs of local or international adoption including lawyers' fees.

This program perfectly reflects our values ​​and corporate culture. In a few words, it is important to us.

In addition, we’ve been dubbed as one of The Globe and Mail’s 2022 “top growing companies” in Canada and part of L’actualité’s 2022 Growth Leaders in Quebec.

Well, that’s a wrap for 2022. What a spectacular year it’s been. As we head into 2023, we’re excited to continue innovating, provide a strong client experience, and even more opportunities for our team to accelerate their development. Bring it on!
