A shared platform to replace manual analysis and empower 29 sector committees

The context

Pôle IMT, in collaboration with PERFORM and the Conseil québécois des ressources humaines en tourisme (CQRHT), wanted to give labour market stakeholders better access to socio-economic data to support informed decision-making. 

To achieve this, the organization needed an analytics platform capable of centralizing data from multiple sources and making it accessible to all users, regardless of their level of data literacy.

The challenge

The project had to integrate data from multiple external sources, each with its own structure, level of granularity, and refresh frequency. The platform also needed to manage asynchronous refreshes, harmonize data from different sources, and provide a seamless experience for all users, regardless of their familiarity with data analysis.

The task at hand

We partnered with Pôle IMT to design and develop Vision IMT, an analytics platform built with Microsoft Power BI and powered by a Microsoft Azure data infrastructure. The solution centralizes data from multiple sources, automates data refreshes, and presents key labour market insights through an intuitive interface that makes exploration simple and accessible. Information is organized around four main themes: Demographics, Employment and Labour Market, Economy, and Education and Training.

The end result

Today, Vision IMT is used by more than 100 users across Quebec's 29 sector committees (CSMOs).

The platform automatically integrates 44 Statistics Canada tables and continuously updates 23 key indicators. Users now have access to reliable, centralized, and always up-to-date information to support better decisions and drive concrete action in the field.
